My name is Aimee Rodriguez and I’m a senior at White Oak High School. I’m on the journalism staff and currently serve as the Editor of the Roughneck yearbook. I love to have a voice through writing. Being on staff has taught me to empathize with people through interviews and to realize that everyone has a story worth sharing. I’m also a member of the Regiment of Roughnecks band and I play the clarinet. I have an enormous band family, over 180 kids, and I even may know most of their names. I lift on the varsity girl’s powerlifting team so I know what it feels like to push past mental and physical limits. I’m interested in studying medicine to have the ability to help people beyond the normal. I want to make an impact in people’s lives, even if that means saving them.
